Terms of Service
Last updated: October 2026
These Terms govern your use of the TeeUp House app and website (the “Service”), operated by TeeUp House Ltd (company number 17287704; registered office: 352 Essex Road, London, England, N1 3PD). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must provide accurate registration details. Player type (amateur/professional) and any club, licence or handicap you enter are self-declared statements you provide; TeeUp House does not check them against a federation and does not guarantee that they are accurate, even where our team has marked one as verified.
2. The Service
- Games — hosts create games and approve join requests; the host marks who attended. Only players marked as attended may review that course.
- Reviews — course reviews are open only to players marked as attended, and reviews of a pro shop or agency only to customers it recorded who then confirmed the service. Every review reflects the reviewer’s own opinion, not ours.
- Tee times — golf clubs and agencies publish tee times. You send a request for your group; the organisation agrees the details and any payment with you directly, in messages, and confirms one group. A tee time is booked only once the organisation confirms it. TeeUp House does not take bookings or payments for tee times, takes no commission on them and is not a party to the arrangement.
- Marketplace — members list second-hand and new golf equipment. TeeUp House provides the listing platform only. It is not the buyer, the seller, or a party to any sale, and it does not process payment between members.
- Messaging — one-to-one chats, group chats and conversations with organisations are provided to coordinate play, subject to the content rules below.
3. Marketplace sales & payments
TeeUp House does not handle payment between members. We publish the listing and put buyer and seller in touch; everything after that is agreed directly between the two of you.
- Payment is between buyer and seller. We do not collect, hold, or release the purchase price, we take no commission on a sale, and we cannot reverse, refund or recover a payment you make to another member.
- Shipping, delivery and returns are arranged directly between buyer and seller. TeeUp House does not ship items and does not guarantee delivery, condition, authenticity or fitness for purpose.
- A listing runs for 30 days and can be renewed. Listing is currently free; if a listing fee applies it is shown before you publish and is charged for the listing itself, not for any sale.
- When a seller marks a listing as sold they may name the member who bought it. That member is asked to confirm and may decline; no review can be written about a sale they have not confirmed. Once the buyer confirms, both sides may review each other for a limited period. Reviews stay hidden until both have written or that period ends, an average rating is shown only once a member has enough published reviews, and a confirmed sale cannot be undone.
- Meet safely. Check an item before you pay, prefer a public place, and keep the conversation in the app — if something goes wrong, that thread is what our moderation team can act on.
Today TeeUp House charges you nothing as a player. Listing is free, membership is free, and we take no commission on a sale or a tee time. If we introduce a charge (for example a listing fee or a paid membership), the price and what it covers will be shown to you before you pay, that payment will be handled by a third-party payment processor whose terms will also apply, and these Terms will be updated first. Organisations that buy promotions or other business services from us agree the price with us separately and are invoiced for them; these Terms do not set those prices.
4. Content & conduct
You are responsible for the content you post (listings, reviews, messages, posts, stories, photos, profile). You must not:
- post illegal, fraudulent, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit content;
- harass, threaten, bully or intimidate other members, on or off the course;
- record a sale with someone who did not buy the item from you, or pressure anyone to confirm or review a sale;
- pressure another member to move the conversation off the platform in order to avoid our reporting and moderation tools;
- impersonate others, spam, scrape, or interfere with the Service;
- list prohibited, counterfeit or stolen goods.
Zero tolerance. There is no place on TeeUp House for objectionable content or abusive users. Objectionable content includes anything hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, violent, fraudulent or illegal; abusive users are people who harass, threaten, impersonate or scam others. When we find either, we remove the content and suspend or permanently remove the account responsible — without warning where the breach is serious.
Content passes through automated filtering. You can report any listing, message, post, comment, story, review or member from inside the app, and you can block anyone; blocked members can no longer message you or see your profile. We review every report within 24 hours. Where the reported content breaks these Terms we remove it, and we suspend or permanently remove the accounts responsible.
Organisations. Golf clubs, pro shops and agencies that use TeeUp House are responsible for everything they publish — course pages, scorecards, posts, promotions, tee times, tournaments and replies — and for the arrangements they make with players, including prices, payments, bookings and cancellations. They must keep to these Terms and to the law that applies to them, including consumer-protection and data-protection law for the personal data they see when players deal with them.
5. Intellectual property
The Service and its branding belong to us. You keep the rights to content you post, but grant us a licence to host, display and distribute it as needed to operate the Service.
Our golf course catalogue is built in part from OpenStreetMap data, © OpenStreetMap contributors, made available under the Open Database Licence (ODbL).

6. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee that games, matches, sales or deliveries will meet your expectations, and we are not a party to member-to-member transactions or to arrangements between you and an organisation, such as a tee time or a tournament entry. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, TeeUp House is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the conduct of members or organisations, listings, or off-platform arrangements. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under mandatory consumer-protection rules that apply where you live.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (Profile → Account & data). We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms (see section 4) or to comply with law.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
10. Changes & contact
We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified in the app or by email. Questions: support@teeuphouse.com, or see our Support page.
